Run and Fly

This is the idea I have for my flying/running creature. I want to model a clockwork scarab. Right now it is just a shell that resembles a bug, but I would like it to looks something like the jewelery and ornamental pieces, with a hint of natural spikiness.

 I think some wings like this one would be cool on mine. ^
